My old housekeeping partner, Dawn, is back on the construction group. I am so encouraged by her willing spirit. Because, let me tell you, construction in the Guam heat, is killer.
Remember Roy Yoon? He just came out to Cali with us. He loves going down to the site to help with construction. The Kingdom Hall construction under Lands with Limited Resources has been up and running here in Guam for almost three years. It is nearing a close. They have a few projects left. It has been a blessing to be on this side of the world to watch such an amazing feat happen. The outer islands had to have all of their materials shipped in. What a huge project. And all with volunteer help and donations. Amazing. Anything is possible with Jehovah's blessing.
I know this may seem odd but found your blog by searching Jehovah's witnesses Guam and found it. Reason i searched is we are trying to lay ground work for trip to Guam to serve for a short time. We chose Guam because we have close friends that are in that region now. My daughter is a reg. Pioneer in a ASL group and English congregation along with myself. I understand it is a long distance for a short time but cost for us are minimal to get there, and would appreciate any input as to what to expect in contrast to the states and how many deaf are there on the island. Our friends are both a elder and pioneers so if not able to give any personnel info will speak to our friends just not sure how to Skype them at the moment and thought the more people we contact the better informed we will be in our decision.
